Amiri is a Houston-born filmmaker, animator, and graphic designer whose work explores themes of multiculturalism and the richness of Black storytelling. A Columbia University graduate, he has established himself as a dynamic visual artist with a portfolio that spans independent films, animation, and commercial design. His work has been exhibited in galleries in both Houston and New York, with screenings at prestigious festivals such as SXSW.
Deeply influenced by his multicultural upbringing and extensive travels, Amiri weaves global perspectives into his storytelling, creating visually compelling narratives that resonate across cultures. His artistic foundation in drawing and painting informs his animation style, blending traditional and digital techniques to produce evocative imagery. Beyond filmmaking and design, he is also a writer and music producer, integrating sound and visuals to craft immersive experiences.
Amiri’s clients range from emerging fashion brands like Abolish Global to cultural icons such as Pimp C’s estate, reflecting his ability to bridge underground movements with mainstream audiences. Through his work, he is committed to uplifting underrepresented voices and fostering community-driven creative expression.
